I’m completely new to Aos and warhammer as a whole. I’m trying it out for the first time later this week but I’ve watched lots of videos and tutorials in playing and it looks like something I’d enjoy.
I’ve picked out a few armies I like both in looks and how they play (from the videos) and have narrowed it down between Stormcast and lumineth realm-lords.
Painting wise, I think both look cool but I have experience painting from D&D.

Stormcast and Lumineth play very differently.
Are you looking for a more elite and tanky army? Go Stormcast
Are you looking for a much more technical army with a higher skill floor? Lumineth
Both have decent variety in list building, but Stormcast has way more models so comes out on top here.
Lumineth has Stormcast beat for spellcasting.
Stormcast are easier to paint in general.
