I only know gloomspite so lemme tell ya. Gloomspite are a horde army so you will be painting well close to 60+ or 100+ miniatures. They’re all pretty simple designs though, so you don’t have to paint many different parts.

Squigs are always satisfying to see sprinting and bouncing across the entire table in the span of 1-2 turns.

Stabbas and shootas are meh, but it’s always fun for the other person to wipe out bunches of miniatures in a single attack. Also rolling 20+ dice is very satisfying.

Spiders are spiders. I don’t use them. Same with wolves. No particular reason, i just don’t own any.

Yeah I’m new too so here’s where I’ll stop.

Haha, no worries. I definitely like the models and the Gloomspite Vanguard looks good. My only worry is that I'm not a huge fan of the BOC Vanguard, but I've always loved them.

BoC has a good Vanguard box

Dragon Ogors, Gors, and Ungors are slam dunks

#

Shaman is also a slam dunk

#

Bestigors are the only iffy ones

My problem is that I'm not a huge fan of the Bestigors or Dragon Ogors. I'd rather just use Gors and Ungors.

Well, that's not how the book functions

#

Gors and Ungors are useful but you can't only have chaff

Oh. Are Bestigors required if I use Ungors and Goes like how chaos cultists work in 40k?

Well someone has to deal the damage

#

Bestigors do some

#

Dragon Ogors do more

Gors and Ungors do no damage

Oh. That makes sense. What would I use to start a Gavespawn army? Is the Vanguard Box useful?

Probably. Gavespawn is just a normal BoC army plus some supercharged Chaos Spawn
