it maybe would eventually had some use if it wasn't ridiculous 6'' range
it can help sometimes
but yeah its not terrible hard to move the unit around the terrain so they can get los to shoot something again
since it doesn't effect multiple terrain pieces its def not that useful
or if it just dropped say 6'' obscuring aura at caster
Where's Ghost Mist from?
(Or better - who casts?)
Nvm - found it. 🤦♀️🍻
I see its use in narrative play - where you might design a spooky scenario around - tracking down a mad Branchwych who hides herself in 'her' forest...
(Or Lady Olynder 🤷♀️)
Ghostmist is great for hiding heroes
u thinking about the fly spell?
Ghostmist, blocks LOS if there us 3" of it between the units in question, right?
I play against a few players who like to use it against me
Yea, pretty decent vs longstrikes?
not really no, you need to be 6'' from the terrain (cast range) and they can move to draw another line almost always
and you permamently spend spell slot fo rit
and of course oyu have to go before the longstrikes and get the cast off
Ive faced it in orruk and tzeentch lists recently, found it pretty annoying
It depends on the kind of terrain you play with ofc
it is possibly to use, not useless spell, but its soo darn situational. And most terrain in aos is really scarce - tournament is 8 bits of it, more or less mirrored across
so you likely will not even be in space to deploy behind it to block
depends on scenario :P
And when you are 29" away you cant change the angle that much with movement
Forces translocate, often away from preferred location
but far far from my pref pick :D
It was on a BoC wizard last game, so coalition with no great alternative since I believe it couldnt access lore
If the enemy unit is sitting right behind the terrain
