Some choppy pyro concepts I thought up of based on some famous playtested cut weapons.
Afterburner:
'Pressure' increases through fire damage done. (Full meter requires 200dmg)
Alt-Fire: Use 25% of pressure or 50 ammo to spray a high-pressured burst of gas which reflects projectiles and extends close-range enemies' afterburn duration by 10s
(+) 30% faster weapon deploy and holster speed
(-) -40% alt-fire rate
(-) 15% damage penalty

Spitfire:
Flares explode on impact
(+) +35% self-damage force
(+) Mini-crits burning targets
(-) -25% damage penalty
(-) +30% damage to self

SOME combo potential with the switch speed . . .
Since this is plane themed in the Airborne Arsonist pack, this is obviously mobility based. The Afterburner stays true to its name, exchanging airblast utility for gas spray-based crowd control. The Spitfire is a mobility weapon like the detonator, reject it all you want
feedback appreciated!

No

Isn't the spitfire just literally the scorch shot with slightly more knockback also we already have the db for that

And nobody likes afterburn so it's best to not make a weapon that just increases it to 20s engineer_agony

the numbers feel very off on this but thats something a playtest can solve so im going to look past the fact that 200 fire damage / 50 damage for a reflect is basically nothing

I feel like the afterburner doesnt do enough to really seperate itself from the stock flamethrower, and as far as i can tell the pressure is only used for the airblast. I would maybe suggest dropping the random up and downsides and focus on making the airblast feel very unique and distinct honestly. Maybe its more powerful but requires 100 burn damage before you can use it or something, or its weaker vs projectiles but the afterburn bonus makes up for it

I don't like the spitfire, sorry. Pyro already has a mobility tool in this mod in the secondary slot, and this seems like its literally just the scorch shot but very slightly tweaked. I feel like this would be redundant at best and annoying at worse.

TLDR: afterburner has potential but rn feels kinda generic and all over the place, spitfire just feels boring and idk if its gimmick is salvagable id just rework it entirely
