And here I was thinkin I could get my DM concept workin in 3.0
a whole fanmade gamemode (civdm) has been nullified because of it being removed
and i think they deleted it because of custom item schemas
- What do those 2 have to do with each-other
- I don't think they deleted it, it just wasn't remade for the steam-port, I doubt they just remade it, just to later on remove it
moonrider gave me that reason
- Isn't moonrider a server host (as in not a dev)
- Could I get the message link / a screenshot of that?
I honestly still don't really understand the real reasoning behind this
i think its because some weapon ids for custom weapons may conflict with the entity, which in that case you could just get rid of the map or make the mapper remove them. i dont know
I think it's related to the fact the custom schema system by default doesn't load any of the tf2c stuff, all that has to be mounted using #base
And there could be weapon sets that don't do that, but in that case, just keep the entity as is, and in the case someone with a different schema wants to play the map, who cares, it's sorta their fault, not the mappers fault, there's no reason to remove the entity for that, especially when that breaks custom gamemode ideas
