Arson is the perfect solution to most problems. Honestly, why bother dealing with something when you can just burn it away? That is why we at Mann Co. are providing the people with what they need, something to let bygones be gone. If your job requires to some good proper demolition work and manhunting, there's nothing better than a little scorched earth tactic!

(Warning : Oil is not provided by Mann Co. Please consult Jenkins' Oils and Fossils)

Replace the Flamethrower

  • Press M1 to spill fuel!
    [ Fuel sticks on the ground before slowly evaporating after 30 seconds. Dissipates 2 seconds after Pyro death. ]
    [ If Enemy player is covered in oil, any incoming damage that is either explosive or fire-based, will explode and then be ignited ]
    {Explosion DMG: around 60 to 90, couldn't decide.}
  • Press M2 to exhaust a big fire ball over a short range!
    [ Fireball has the same range as an airblast ]
  • Fire spreads across the spilled fuel, any player caught on the fuel will explode before being ignited!

/- Unfortunately, fireball does not airblast projectile.
{ Could be worked into melting them instead, but this is already way too overkill as is }

I see people say "come up with alternatives" but they really don't have to.

In any case this sounds ridiculously op.

30 seconds is too long no matter how you cut it.

Players shouldn't get exploded or even oiled up for just walking into the oil spill, that's too much.

Honestly? just double the range of this thing and remove the explosion entirely.

A fire that long can easily stop anyone from grabbing a dropped intel for example, and that's giving Pyro way too much power. dead_mario

Alrighty, nobody wanna suggest any fixes or ideas to help? Jerks. Anyways my idea on how to help fix the problem with the long duration is to make almost anything from any team be able to ignite the oil, such as bullets, explosions, fire, etc.

Pyro is an area denial class anyways so I like this item but there should always be some form of counterplay, like for example you can always shoot a demoman’s stickybombs to explode them so you don’t get hurt.

Also idk what doubling the range would do, bad fix imo
