So I have this issue too and it’s kind of a problem

#

I’ve noticed that no matter how I warm up and how much time I spend in training I don’t actually feel comfortable saucing someone until after 3-4 matches

#

What I like to do is go in to training and practice my BnB’s and confirms. Once I feel good about being able to hit my mix properly I go into a game and just run one or two fully expecting to lose. My goal for these matches is simply to play solidly, and get used to pressing buttons against a moving opponent near my skill level and just play good street fighter

#

I could probably do this in a open lobby or look for an online unranked, but I think it’s important to do it in ranked since it also helps you break that attachment to rank points. If you’re good, you’ll get them back. I’ve had days where my rank points go down by 400 in a streak and I’m up +1000 by the end of the day. Just don’t let it affect you and focus on getting better and learning

@quartz orbit i appreciate this a lot. I do start to notice myself feeling attached to a rank and I want it to not be a big deal for myself because I want to enjoy my time playing the game than to worry about it. Somehow it’s still hard to get rid of that mindset, but I’m sure this will help me a lot on it

everyone has rank anxiety and there was a time where i stopped playing for 2 weeks since I couldn't get myself to queue up comp. I think the easiest way to see it is to realize rank doesn't reflect your skill and you can get back LP if you are more skilled
