is there a mu in particular that you are struggling with
There's always going to be the base question - are you punishing things with your bnbs if possible? the best you can do
Like if you're doing cr.lp > cr.lp against Luke lp dp or something
My CFN should be IRecon, i'll start posting some replays after my sessions
I've been defaulting to st.mp > st.hp > heavy peach if possible, but for light punishes, i'd go for cr.lp > cr.lp xx light peach

I watched 2 where you won so far
- your stMp hit confirms need work. From neutral is one thing but fHp > stMp is the easier one. It seems like you don't confirm and just cancel right into it (it's a link)
- spending meter on TC xx ex peach when you could do hp peach for similar valje
If you land fHp in the corner, you can always get crmp reset
If cc, you do a second fhp then crmp
Yea i only realized a week ago that ex peach can be linked to from st.mp haha, always thought I was supposed to hitconfirm with a cancel

i do realize that im not using my meter well, in situations that can be done without I usually have a bad habit of spending it when i can save it

i haven't been very consistent with getting it outside of the training room, but is there a certain height you want to hit the opponent at with crmp?
You can with normal fhp as well
Yes, it won't work after something like clap > bounce > fHp
That requires VT
But raw will always allow it if you don't goof the height with crmp

yea its so good tho for anti airs but i gotta learn when to start the brakes when my opponents can't anti air and im giving them a free punish haha
StMp isn't plus oB and it's gonna be a hard habit to break later if you don't try to do it less now
Using lights for meaties is good
Okay, i did notice that my stmp meaties don't really lead into much unless my opponent is mashing, whereas i can get a counter hit light link into stmp
Do you usually confirm counterhit lights into stmp or do you usually just throw it out after and then confirm if the stmp hit?
Is there a chart for characters with 3f normals? I think i saw one in the resources.

is there a good answer to vshift? When i feel like they are going for it, i tend to use meaty normal throw to catch it, but im wondering if there is something more optimal that i can do to cover it

How do you deal with opponents that play a more turtle playstyle like guile or alex?
Currently i just walk and block until i can poke with dropkick or stmk, but wanted to check if this the correct play?
They tend to just watch for dashes and jump ins
guile is harder than alex
alexs normal anti air loses to splash and hes a 4fer with no ex reversal

this was kinda just a slug fest but i want you to take notice of alex having issues on knockdown and especially in the corner
the st mk/cr mp setups in the corner are +1 ob and alex is a 4fer which means the st mk/cr mp into command grab are real
so say alex had a 3f, he would be able to jab out of that setup?

but you could use a normal instead that would ch them
and that would be the mixup
got it, theres alot of alex players in my rank, so i'll take note of how much more pressure i can apply on them
a lot of people dont think the st mk is + ob in that setup so they are likely to press
just frame trap them with cr lp and then go into st mp combo
practice it in training mode
alright will do, need to get the muscle memory
set it up so youre in the corner and have alex do cr lp on guard
then do brimstone > wiff cr lp > st mk meaty
another set up from brimstone in the corner is
brimstone > wiff cr lp > lady mika
and from there you get the traditional mixup off of lady mika ob which would be like st mp or ex typhoon
for the whiff cr lp, do you usually mash it to get it at the earliest frame possible or just time it?

you should be reacting to see if theyre blocking it or they got hit by it
because you can combo if they got hit
if they block you put them in a mixup
if they do ex reversal or v shift theyre gonna win no matter what

i've also tried cross up j.lk to make it whiff on some characters, is that feasible or should i just stick to blocking?
you can do that against some characters
but good players will just do delay dp and crosscut you
but it will work against reversal ex dps
theres an argument to be made
alright, i haven't run across any players that can crosscut yet, but i'll keep it in mind when i start to encounter it
How do you tend to deal with players that crossup with like ryu j.mk?
just jump back air to air?
depending on how late you react
usually just block the cross up
air to air is fine sometimes
if you can use ex wa to anti air you should
unfortunately mikas cr mp loses to cross ups
got it i haven't been using ex wa for cross ups but i'll keep it in mind in game
i would not recommend using ex wa to deal with cross ups
oh you meant only for anti airs
it can auto correct
but the problem is that if you mess up you either waste a bar and fly away
or you get ex spd which is -60

Got a few up, still need to work on my aa and hit confirms mostly, and my corner pressure is still pretty bad
you are very antsy in neutral
in general you have very poor v trigger activations on block, on hit and in neutral
do you know any vt1 setups? i can give you a couple

i saw you try to get ex peach after cc lady mika > lady mika into hp which doesnt work
yea that was a flub
after a normal peach knockdown you can do an easy mode meaty with f st mk
it will cover quick and back rises
its safe on quick rise and + on back rise
its also comboable depending
how about for ex peach?
ex peach has different oki so f st mk doesnt work

cr lp on quick rise you can do like cr lk on back rise
you are also in range for some command grabs
st mp into ex peach is a confirm you need to get down
like 99.9% of the time
yea its on my list of things i need to work on, just need to keep being aware of it til it becomes second nature
set the dummy to random block and just practice doing it
after a while you wont need to think about it
im pretty okay with it in training mode, just need to work on it in actual games
rollback can make it more tricky but you still shouldnt really ever miss it
mika is also at her best when she has her opponent in the corner
so you should never do typhoon and throw them out of the corner unless its gonna stun or ko them
general advice:
stop being so antsy in neutral (random ex peaches)
do f st mk after regular peach knockdowns (L,M,H) for ez consistent pressure (lab follow ups on hit and block)
work on v trigger activations (especially in neutral)
work on st mp into ex peach
so thats just so i can have access to + frames in front of them, if it hits or not
let me download obs and record something
you dont have to end with h peach you could do like ca or ex peach instead
its a blockstring so they cant mash ex dp out of it

back ropes just doing the toss behind you right? I thought thats what I did, also tried doing the combo the same way, and it worked in training mode
