Hi, This is going to be an odd post from me as I really don't make posts like this at all. I'm an exclusive Ryu player currently placed on the edge of Ultra Silver/Gold. I'm about to enter my first tournament this week on Wednesday. I'll be entering Rainier Rushdown #8 Rookie bracket. Does anybody have any tips/tricks on stuff that I should be practicing on? I've been working on V-Reversal Parry OS as of late, as well as the usual: AAs, Combo Routes, Hit confirms (I probably need more practice on this tbh. I don't realize I can do a conversion off of standing mp twice on hit half the time), Frame Traps. I'm super nervous on how I'll do. Should I warm up with AAs and combo routes before tournament matches? How should I go about it? I practically exclusively use VS1 VT2 for most, if not all matches since that's what I'm most comfortable with. I really haven't been able to mess with VT1 as much. I always lose when I try to force a situation or play with fireballs.

The best tip i can give is to treat your bracket games like any other game
Just play your best and if you lose which you probably will given the normal odds of any one person winning the bracket. Come back and review your replays and see where you can improve.
And honestly as long as you do that odds are your opponents may crack to tournament pressure before you

Hmm. Okay
Play your game, do what you know, if you loose a game don't forget you can go back to character select just to have a bit more time and breath before going into the next match
