#Base low gold Zeku trying to improve

Hello coaches, I've managed to climb to base gold, but seems to be hitting plateau a bit.
I'll share recent matches now and state my questions afterwards.

I think my aas are 70% reliable, still working on it. but I found myself lack of ground game offensive option. Most of my damage comes from jump-ins or aa'ing opponents. If they have strong aa games then I struggles a lot.

I've been practicing spacing with the opponents with Old Zeku. Young zeku still working on it. I feel ground game is more complicated than aa, and I am wondering if there are some drills that I can work on to improve. Any suggestions would be appreciate!

So one thing im noticing is that you really like to play super far

#

Like 3/4 to fullscreen

#

Which is fine-ish

#

But youre doing things like giving up corner pressure to be in that range

#

And that gives your opponents room to breathe and retake rounds

okay, yeah, I agree.
I wanted to be more up close and have a tense combat with opponents, but I am still learning how. any tips on practicing oki/meaty /mixups during the combat? I'm not good at them. Most of the time if I'm the one in the corner, the game is over for me. 😅

Ah +2 nice

#

So if i remember correctly midscreen you dont really get as many options to pressure on old zeku

#

But once youve pushed your opponent to the corner

#

You can do things like dash up and be in their face

#

And get your standard strike throw mix

#

And like instead of retreating fullscreen

#

Hover under the timer instead

foggy cave
#

okay. and the mix ratio I assume will be learned with experience and per opponents?

slate frost
#

Thats like kind of the optimal range where you can do things like fireball, walk up button, walk up throw, dp anti air etc

#

And threaten multiple options all at once just by existing

#

And figure out how to lock your opponent in the corner

foggy cave
#

okay. I still make mistakes of jumping into the corner myself when I'm trying to give pressure 😅

slate frost
#

Then dont jump in the corner ChenShrug

fair fair

#

If you have the life lead and pushed your opponent in the corner

#

You dont have to do anything other than be lame until that timer drops to zero

#

Force your opponent to approach and take risks

#

Jumping into the corner is a risk youre taking to get some extra damage you dont need to win with in

#

While also giving up a winning position

Very happy with your anti airs, @foggy cave hojipray

One way to help convert that to pressure

Do Ban xx Shukumyo xx Tozetsu

#

Basically anti air, change into young, immediately run stop to get on top of them

#

Pretty sure you can get plus frames this way
