If I get in a custom DR server with a couple of other players with no leap cooldown, I’ll be severly disadvantaged even if I’m not speedrunning and it will look weird and bad...

Now how do you get that?? Like I haven’t seen any videos about it or anything it’s just Ptitjoueur with 46 and 45... which I could have got 45 but I didn’t know the death was going to LOG as soon as the game started and I wasn’t focused I was focusing on not dying so in conclusion I messed up the begging and did the cool thing where you jump from one of the lumps that separates the two fire snake traps and because you still have jump boost you go to the other one

What’s the best way to gain xp in this game? Is just finishing good enough or should I be trying for top 3 every time?

The main ways you get XP on deathrun is by going through the checkpoints if you are a runner. You get xp for kills which sometimes will be more than what runners get so if you have a chance to become death and you want to gain xp then that's one of the best ways.
