Ideally you'd want to work on not dying. Games with slow-operating trap users are reasonably hard to come by; speedrunning DeathRun takes patience above anything else

I'll target 1st place if it actually seems beneficial, i.e. 2nd 3rd and 4th are grouped up w/ them, and killing them would put them with a larger pack of people
on occasion I get carried away and accidentally target 1st when I'm in a rush bc most of my death partners either afk or leave, or worse, just block traps
