I like playing death because it's arguably more strategic. You can play around the checkpoints and all for more kills/trap usage. It just sucks when you get a teammate that just sits at traps without using them, essentially blocking them

First of all they set limits to what Hive is allowed to do, which isn't Hive's fault but its effect bleeds into the playerbase too. One example is we're not allowed to submit community made maps.

The 1.13 or 1.14 update made constant crashes in MM and broke their dead-player animations. Another update caused a bunch of blocks to appear random or incorrect.
And I think an update from a year ago spawned the bug where if you open your inventory while switching worlds your game straight up crashes.
