I prefer being a runner, but I always play the role of death when assigned. It more just puts more of a workload on the other death, and depending on who they are and whether or not they're afk it's just a free game, where people easily get past the traps without them ever going off
I like to think of it similarly to the shopping cart return dilemma if you've seen that floating around recently, as it's a test of decency when not being enforced by rules lol

Competent deaths are what allows great players to be great, otherwise all you get is who can maximize the use of the leap, do basic parkour, and cut corners the best, and competent death systems are usually involving of two people. It's more than just "pressing one button" and watchin people die

I think the goal of that method is of course to delay time since that is technically the only way Deaths win but it also causes minimum efficiency in kills since by the time people get to those traps they will already be used as well as being near impossible to win as death

Right, I guess I'm different in the fact that I don't care about getting as many kills as possible, only in making sure nobody gets too far ahead, and only if someone else is already going about making sure that's the case I target the main pack to slow them down
