Basically, it's just you on the map; the traps are still there but no deaths to use them.
You get 3 leaps that you can use whenever you want, including directly after one another.

So technically it's not just "deathrun but without deaths" because the leaps are different. could lead to new interesting ways to run the tracks.

It's a stretch of an addition to DeathRun but personally I think it would be fun.

You're assuming that the server started on a whole number/time. We poll the system time, so there can be a lot of variance depending on when the server ticks/polls and the length of the operations before that poll.

Also, note that 1000ms are in a second. Meaning a tick is 0.05s

The extra numbers would be lossy sleeps, we sleep for MS until next tick. We don't go into NS because it's a Minecraft server, not Formula 1

Yeah, basically depends on the order the server processes the players if the delay is less than 0.05s

If that's actually a problem then I can easily create a timestamp at the beginning of the server tick instead of creating the timestamp when the player is processed. However, I think it's fair for me to assume it's very very very very rare that players finish in exactly the same tick

Even if we had that accuracy, our system would still do 1st/2nd/3rd, it's a bit of a time sink to do shared positions.

as much as you may enjoy the map zoo, i despise it

zoo's checkpoints are too far apart from each other

i hate snowfall because ice parkour is an absolute piece of filth and the map is too long

i hate venice because of the final tnt 1 block wide parkour always messes my jump

i despise viaduct as it is too long, and certain bits are unbearable

whoever in the hive team designed gardens, who hurt you? what drove you into such madness that you will design a map with the sole purpose of torturing kids?

and if you think i hate all the maps, you are wrong.

i think the hive team did a great job at making western, prison, and metropolis

i find those three are fun, and enjoyable

how about a practice mode for deathrun, where there is no deaths, and it allows you to study the map and possibly a leader board system to compare with other player's times on maps since the death isn't interfering and its based on skill and not luck and death being biased
