On the map Prison, the checkpoint "Through the Corridors" if you leap through the portal for it, it won't count at all

I worked the checkpoints out last night, i think its like a hitbox type thing where u have to jump in a certan place in the portal for it to work.. if it dont add onto then when u die you get sent back to the portal that was last jumped on the floor. (If that makes sense lol)

We spent quite a long time making it easier for the average Bedrock player to be able to finish but lots of little shortcuts everywhere for the speed runners to compete at a higher level
And of course - re-doing many traps and routes from the Java version

It’s impossible to win as death in DR unless if there’s a timer, which only counts down after the first player gets through the final checkpoint.

It’s impossible usually as there’s always at least two players that are good at parkour and/or recognize what each trap does in a map so they’ll usually skip those traps with a jump boost.
The longest I was able to delay anybody from reaching the last portal in Western map was 1m and 57s.
It’s a long map by the way.

More features basically, due to the community that plays Java, the server is limited to an older version of minecraft and cannot use things from newer versions, such as elytras, tridents, and more advanced game logic/mechanics

Yes many of them are, but some are new and unique. Poison cloud and fangs are only available on Bedrock. However Water Flood behaves differently on bedrock than on java. But yes most of them all the same just have different blocks to decorate them

It's just a matter of your Internet connection. It takes a moment for your game to tell the server that you're on an emerald, and then the server send information to your game that you now have jump boost
If your ping is high, that moment can become a noticeable delay

well, there are two main types of 'lag'. One is caused by your machine not being able to render the game or do all the calculations the game requires. That usually results in your game acting all choppy
Then there is the lag caused by your connection and yes, it's present in basically every game where you and others can do a thing at the same time, in the same place. Less so with turn-based games where there is less server talking done

I just played a DR game, and i was as death. So the game started , and the other death activate all the traps when the first player was behind 7 blocks of the trap, so the death dont kill any runner, and it makes me very angry....
