hi guys im planning on making a video on the ai features rec room has implemented into the game (example, roomie AI, maker AI, and using AI for moderation) and I've been asking people in the rec center for a few hours.

But i wanted to see what the community on discord thought about it. so, do you guys think ai is leaving a positive or negative impact on rec room?

my answer is; I think its bad. not counting how ai in general is bad for the environment and its making us dependent on it, but i think rec room spent all their money on ai, like roomie and maker ai and that's why theyre shutting down.

Depends. AI is used for the enemies in quest and such. That AI? I think it's fine, helps a game. But the MakerAI , Roomie , the newer AI games (that was overly expensive) is all bad. I never made a game so I wouldn't know, but I believe the AI used to make those is highly expensive. So not only did all the hype for MakerAI / Roomie / The AI rooms fail greatly. It costed them too much and helped progress their shutdown

negative it costed rec room millions to develop the ai just for it to flop and push them further into bankruptcy. none of it was ever cared for except for roomie and i never saw a roomie actually being used for its intended purpose they would always just bypass the name to be some crazy shit for a laugh and then forget about it.
