i was wondering if i could make like a barrier ( i was hoping to make it out of glass or smth) that dissapears when you walk away but appears when ur close to it. ( when i say dissapears and reapears i mean like it fades in and out )

Disappearing? For sure. But fading would require some RRS shenanigans, changing the opacity of the texture or something, i'm not familiar with it myself
