I should explain how the moderation works before I or you say anything!
First off I don’t work at rec room
Alright so the Voice Moderation works by first detecting a possible voice infraction, it will flag it depending on the severity. It will then check for more possible infractions in your conversation. This reviewing process takes some time to complete so the Voice restrictions never happen instantly.
The voice moderation system has been rigorously tested with different accents and tone of speech. However even though it is very accurate it has a 5% False Discovery Rate. This means there will be a small amount of doubt to whether or not you did have an infraction.
And going back to what I said earlier, the more infractions you have the less doubt the system will have. Then the punishment gets given.
Rec Room uses Modulate.ai’s ToxMod, which is also used by games like Call Of Duty, GTA, and a bunch of other multiplayer VR games like breachers, among us vr, yeeps, etc.
However this does not mean you can’t swear, but you should direct it at anyone. The system can detect that based on emotion, voice acts, and the listeners responses.

You can submit a ticket, however they do not have a system in place for voice restriction appeals. Also the voice restrictions are usually short enough that it clears up before any support staff get to it.
