Well, seeing as you're running a Quest through a none cable method to Steam VR it isn't going to be able to run many things well. If you were to use a link cable for Steam VR it would run significantly better. Wireless connections for VR do tend to lack the power to run anything at high graphics and, like your problem, anything related to recording in games.
