#why can't steam work?

I'm trying to launch rec room on my computer for crescendo but it's asking if I have the steam app when I'm clearly running it on the app but when I put no I need steam it's ACTUALLY RESPONSIVE pls somebody help me with this

its possibly a bug for steam, i'd say try redownloading steam and see if its still happening. If not then contact steam services and tell them whats going on. (Its not rec rooms fault btw.)
