Did you install the game from he Google Play store?

Being on the hotel Wi-Fi could certainly be the most likely cause. Rec Room is really sensitive to dropping out with the slightest interuption.

But, I have noticed a lot of people complaining about crashing since the last update, so there could be something in there causing issues as well.
