Essentially you have to strike different poses when you pull the trigger, and when you let go of the trigger

#

Depending on the pose you do a different action

#

Still very much a prototype, need to custom make some better sound effects and turn it into a hand or something

#

And ideally the dots coming out the end will only show up when you're trying to strike the sniper pose, with different visuals depending on what you're about to do when you let go of trigger

When you wanna add quaternions together you multiply them. Imagine what the rotation from default 0,0,0,1 to 2 different quaternions feels like—the action of rotating that way—and then imagine doing that same rotation action but starting from the other quaternion. That is how you "add" quaternions together, multiplying quaternions is like their version of adding them.

And just like how you can "minus" from 10 for example by adding negative 5, Quaternion Inverse is like making a negative quaternion, it's a rotation action that leads from that rotation back to the rotation 0,0,0,1.
10 – 5 → 10 + –5
Rotation1 – Rotation2 → Rotation1 × –Rotation2

Quaternions look scarier than they are. Aside from that info above, another gimmick to know is that you always have to plug Quaternion Dot into an Absolute Value right after because quaternions do this weird thing where two quaternions with the same numbers but opposite +/– signs are actually the exact same rotation.

So the game would think on paper that .5 .5 .5 –.5 and –.5 –.5 –.5 .5 are completely opposite rotations, when in reality objects with each of those rotations would look like they have the exact same rotation.

That happened to one of mine once lol, i made it for some people in a beta-enabled room, and when it became possible to save inventions in beta-enabled rooms a few of them started sharing it around to friends and it spread like wildfire (they had my permission to do whatever they want with it), the problem being, in their original room i had it set up so that people with the perms moderator or higher OR people with the account name "JebGaming" could use it, because they wanted me to still be able to test it but i wasn't part of their group and had only known them for a week or two so they didn't trust me enough to give me perms. Some of the people who shared it around had cut off that part and it just made it so everyone could use it so they'd have to hide or role-restrict the button, but others it seems kept it in, giving me an accidental backdoor to rank myself whatever i want wherever they shared it 😅
