Cheapest way to do it in cv1 is to have an animation gizmo rapidly move around a player respawner the button is connected to.

So I was trying to make something drinkable I did the same thing for the one on the left and it worked perfectly fine but the blue one on the right isn't working and isn't letting me pick up the water bottle even though it's grabable

Im having problems with the piston gizmo, but it only occurs whenever I save the room, I change the travel distance to 0.3, but when I save the room, the travel distance changes back to 5.
I think i remember hearing there’s a bug like that at the moment. It’ll probably be fixed in the next update.
And now there’s a bug with the states, and I guess some people are having problems with it too
I've heard that all pistons are bugged. So it should be fixed, at least the non-legacy pistons have a work around.

you could make that with Circuits using bool variables

Hey everyone I have a question yesterday I made a team based minion spawner in rec room and I was wondering if there's a way to use cv1 to always put you on a certain team and or enable you to switch teams please someone respond to this for whatever reason I'm not getting much help on subjects like this.
well you can turn on team switching during a game and people can just press the switch teams button in the this room menu
One problem I want to have a cv1 setup that always puts me on a certain team that way I don't have to go through all the teams to find the right color to Mach up the minions to the respective teams for places I'm unable to switch teams
team id 1 for blue, team id 2 for red
how many teams do you have actually?
oh and theres an option in the thing to be able to select a specific team directly instead of cycling through teams
On the enemy configuration there's 40 teams I'm not spending an hour going through that shit
I guess the idea is to use two teams
then all you need to know are team ids 1 and 2
for the team mapping chip
or just use the switch team button in the this room menu
and turn on the ability to switch teams during a game if you want that to be a thing
Let me be more specific I didn't mention I want to hook up the team mapping chip to a costume I made putting me on team 1 or 2 when I put it on

there’s gotta be a setting or some reason why none of my spawned weapons can reload
reserve ammo is on and I can pick up the weapons fine, there just isn’t a prompt to reload anything, not even draw back the bow

If you want the animation gizmo to move the object, you'd need to wire the animation to the other gizmo you're using. If you try to animate something that's connected to any other type of gizmo it messed up the animation.

if you're gonna start learning circuits from scratch i recommend learning Circuits
It is normally more difficult to learn cv2 after cv1 as they are completely different, and you will waste time
cv2 uses booleans, floats, execs, ints, and some other things, while cv1 uses execs and you need chips to use booleans, aka true of false, but it is a connector type on cv2

Cv2 has all these different data types and chips that perform aallllll kinds of different functions with them.
With cv1 you often need to make all different math functions yourself as it doesn’t always have a chip for it. It literally only has integers and certain chips just pretend those integers are actually something else, like how bools are represented by a 1 or 0, any number that isn’t 0 is usually treated as an exec, or how playerIDs are 1 + however many players have joined before the current player, and how objectIDs are some big number up in the 10,000s, etc etc.
Cv2’s data types, how you wire things together, and how to use execs will all be more confusing if you’ve gotten used to pretending an integer is all these different data types that it’s not. If you’re new to both versions of circuits, i’d definitely suggest starting with cv2.

@lofty sleet the green pin on a legacy volume outputs the number of players in the zone. Hook that up to a comparer and check if it’s equal to 1. If it is, send a signal to the green pin on Set Game State

For spawning a bucket you can use your makerpen. If you wanted to respawn it somewhere else when it's already in the room you can use the object respawner.

The makerpen, camera, and feedback tool all used to be respawnable using object respawners. I don’t know anything about that maybe having changed with this recent update tho
No, I remember trying in the park before the maker room was a thing. When the game rules chip was made I used to keep asking for there to be a spectate team but they never did that. Spectators aren't really supported in ugc rooms, I know there is a workaround but we still have no control for it.

Keep the first part the same, but turn on Adavcned Mode and hook the Cyan Pin to the Player Exited pin on the trigger volume

You’re using a trigger volume set to detect only objects. If you’re just trying to send through players who touch that thing, configure it and set it to “players”.
You can’t with CV1 trigger volumes. Best you’d be able to do is use one along with several “role mapper” chips configured to “player has role” and wire all their different outputs to a boolean chip configured to “AND”. Then just run the output of that and the red output of the trigger volume into a combinator chip configured to multiply.

Pretend the clamps are samplers.
The “gates” between states are automatically open unless you plug something into them with a value of 0.
So you only need to wire something into the gate after the first state, so you can press a button to start the song.
Unless you want the song to be permanently looping in the background, in which case just don’t wire anything into any of the gates at all.
