These are some personal ideas I've found myself creating so I thought it makes sense to compile them here.

  • Having the game take place during the collapse of the Ticon civilisation would work really well if KC wants to lean into a more dark and superweapon side of the game. Since the Ticon were so tech based, having rebelling factions use them, which can attack the player as an AI opponent might be interesting. This also gives a reason to add AI opponents which I believe KC mentioned at some point.

  • Expanding on the last point, since the Creeper would probably? be actively attacking civiliation, having motherships for the Creeper that can fire at player ships etc would be an interesting adaptation of the PF ship system I think, but depends what direction KC takes the theme of the game.

  • A unit with an Aoe effect that transforms Creeper of one type to another, but is still dangerous to the player in some way, as shown in that crude drawing I made. Might be interesting to mess around with but it might be better suited as a custom unit.

MicroRifts - if added - should consume energy when running. Catch is that overtime, the energy they consume increases when being used.
When not in use, the energy usage can slowly decrease.

Maybe with more distance between the nearest rift, the rift exporting packets can increase in energy usage faster too.
So, greater distance between rifts = greater increase of usage per second.

I feel like this might make them balanced as to not make other units like guppies or dropships void

You should be able to see a Spore Launcher's Payload when hovering over it, like you can see spore count too
