man. this game is hard af. I didnt make it to the end back when it came out.
I cant remember if it was bad hitboxes or ultra tight segments even in the early levels that required split second button inputs. but yes. bring it back remastered !

It's hard but has really forgivable checkpoints, a remaster or stable re-release would be awesome, the graphics are really charming in a very late 90's CG kibda way.
Original pc release is a pain to get working nowadays.

One of the best 2D games ever made, forgotten for being released at the dawn of 3D games.
For context, my main purpose on this forum is to provide support in case this game was picked to be re-released.
The main mistery today is over who owns the rights for HoD. Interesting enough, the game is listed on Amazon EU as being sold by Atari.
There is already a working project under the name of "hode" developed by Gregory Montoir, who managed to rewrite the original engine used in the game, making it executable on modern platforms. Setting the resolution for modern displays, Hode can bring back to life the original pixel art as if it was a proper remaster of the game with little to no additional effort needed.
Hode is still available for free online on a dedicated website, but it requires the original PC data files to run.
The original PC release of HoD by the way is to be preferred over the PlayStation release. Despite featuring a more vivid colour palate, the PS1 version of the game presents the image cropped, has compression artifacts and adds intrusive loading screens.

If this game was picked to be brought back, I encourage any moderator or developer from the team to contact me to provide any additional support, if needed. I can provide an original PC copy of the game in english, french and italian. I also have the original CD soundtrack and a high definition file of the original front cover artwork.
To conclude, I also wanna point that a 4K remaster of the original cutscenes has already been done by youtuber "Way Of The Lost" using Gigapixel A.I. and is freely available on his youtube channel.

Hello, I´m glad I ve found a proper place now where I can make my wish to bring back this Game as my father and me sunk Hours upon Hours into the Game.
Since we got a Suitable new Nintendo Machine I think it would be a Perfect fit on Switch 2 even Switch 1.
I strongly hope we can get it Done I would be so Great.
