Uploading Avatars with a Discord-Linked Account

What your friend needs to do

Your friend needs to link their Discord account to a full VRChat account. Here's how:

  1. While logged into VRChat with their Discord account, open the Main Menu.
  2. Navigate to Settings.
  3. Click the Link Account button (located below the Exit option).

If your friend has already linked their Discord account to a full VRChat account and has reached the required trust rank, but still can't log in via the SDK, here are some things to check:

Verify the correct credentials

  • The username to log in is the one registered during VRChat account creation — it may differ from their display name. [Account Recovery]

Reset the password
