also in regards to this error the console was not saying any towards it

and what went wrong was the fact that some udon objects was missing the udonsharp references, a simple re-import of the udon objects fixed it i believe

happens sometimes, do you have "clear of play" or build enabled? thatll remove errors that might be important after build

no it simply just didnt state the error because there was 'no' error to begin with it was only after converting it to a quest world variant but again it is fixed, the world got published 2 days ago

By my understanding the quest doesn't handle transparency efficiently. And fog is just a while lot of transparency.

So it's entirely possible it just doesn't behave the same on Android

1.) install android libraries for unity via the unity hub if you haven't already
2.) BACK UP YOUR PROJECT
3.) use VRC control panel to switch target build to android
4.) weep silently as your texture and reflection probe quality gets mangled
5.) make any needed corrections / replacements to broken shaders, etc
6.) upload

make sure your quest and PC versions of your world both have exactly the same object hierarchy in the Inspector; any difference between the two can cause objects to not properly sync between users on quest and PC

I have built worlds myself for both platforms, they are private now.they work perfectly with invites. there is a stationary portal in each of them. interestingly, when non-Quest users go through portal - they land in the same instance of the second world , but the quest user lands in a different instance ...

Currently working on remaking a world I posted here a while ago. All of this is baked lighting, non of it's realtime. The lightmaps in total are only 389.2kb (without directional 219.4kb) This world also has working box reflections on quest as well :3

(I'll also have some other stuff in there that has to do with lighting once everything is done :3)

Okay, I am trying to do a music player for my world with preset musics, my first attempt which was successful is to put the musics directly into the project and enable the music then they click a button

But lets say that i only have 4 musics and the map space went from smth around 7mb to 20mb

soo how can i lower the size of the files

or even better, how can i simply get them from an internet link, i already have my raspberry pi I can use as a server to host the songs

I wish someone made a quest-compatible Backrooms level “!”, otherwise known as level “Run for your life!”. It would be such an awesome world, because it would allow me to keep recording even better backrooms videos on vrchat

For those of you that are unfamiliar with level “!”, let me paste the article of it from the backrooms wiki.

Level ! is one of the most dangerous oddball levels in the Backrooms and one of the most entity-infested levels. This level is also one of levels where you're not allowed to stay due to the amounts of entities that may chase you.

Level ! consists of a long hallway, approximately ten kilometers in length, with its structure resembling that of a hospital. The hallway has several doors, each one approximately three meters from each other. There are also bright, flickering exit signs for the entirety of the level, each one about ten meters from each other.

Upon entry, one will immediately notice a loud alarm sound with no apparent source. A few seconds after entering the level, one will then notice a horde of entities (Hounds, Skin-Stealers, Facelings, etc.) heading directly for them. The apparent "objective" is to escape the level as fast as one possibly can before it's too late.

One must run non-stop, avoiding various obstacles along the hallway, such as hospital beds, chairs, and sometimes even entities like Clumps blocking the way. Along the hallway there may be various items to keep one running, such as energy bars and bottles of Almond Water, one may also occasionally find items helpful to slow down or temporarly block off the entities.

The entities will adapt to one's capacity of running, to a point of giving difficulty even to the ones experienced at running. The further one goes, the less the entities will become, however the only few ones left will be even more aggressive than before. It has been reported that different people can be in Level ! at the same time, however one will never meet another. It's presumed the level will create a copy for each person that is in, so there's no way to be with someone else inside the level.

Upon reaching the ten kilometer mark, one will come upon an exit door at the end of the hallway. Entering it will lead to a random level, with the Backrooms never sending them back here again. If the horde of entities catches them, however, the victim will be killed in a very painful and gruesome way. The hallway possesses turns, one each few kilometers, leading to a wanderer thinking they've reached the exit early. If you see the exit door, but notice a turn in the hallway, do not go into the door as it's a fake exit and it will lead you into an empty room, resulting in you being caught by the entities.

The only way to know which one is the real exit is by going further until there's no more turns; if one comes across a dead end with the exit door, then they've reached the real exit.

Or more like a bright and dark mode.

Well making the map darker or brighter is somewhat annoying to do, but for player brightness I think all you need to do is turn off, or swap, a directional that only affects the layers "player" and "playerlocal". Might not be the most optimized way to do it though, but since it doesn't affect much it seems to be fine.

Pretty much just jets, and they are of higher quality for both platforms

So I use Unity to make worlds, and I'm having a slight issue with testing the server. I don't have a working vrchat on PC or a laptop, so I'm curious as to whether there's a way to use the build and test feature in udon and test it in quest?

the build and test function does not work on the quest in the slightest because that feature only works on the PC version because vrchat is installed on the same pc as the unity editor itself
