It is almost always better to have a desktop for gaming, because the hardware is generally better and stays cooler. But with the current GPU shortage unless you can find a GPU at MSRP building a PC is generally more expensive then buying a good pre built.

So besides the 1660 super which is barely VR-ready at least for VRchat and the 8GB of system RAM(you will need to upgrade the RAM on this PC if you were to buy
this PC or VRchat will likely crash due to lack of system RAM). The power supply and CPU cooler might also be issues. The good news is that the case appears to have decent front panel airflow.

It's technically VR-ready though it's on lower end of being VR-ready. The only VR headsets it could run well is first gen VR headsets like OG Vive, Both Oculus CV1/Rift and the Rift S,Both Oculus Quest 1 and 2 (for the Quest 2 you might have to lower render resolution). Though for VRchat in virtual reality it would probably struggle mind you pretty much all hardware will struggle in VRchat. You are indeed correct about RAM being easy to change and upgrade however. Now I would suggest waiting and building your own PC as GPU supply is starting to get better (it's still terrible compared to previous generations but it is starting to improve regardless). Now if you don't want to or can't wait I would say buy it just keep in mind that the computer is already somewhat outdated(mostly the GPU) so you will have to plan to upgrade parts in the near future. Near future in this context meaning in the next 1-2 years, 2.5 years if you want to push it.
