basically you can get the OSC address from a file in vrc, but i want the icon for the avatar to so i can display it in my app, the icon is likely in the avatar files. and i don't know if its against the TOU to extract that data (i assume its in the same file as the avatars). the TOU only talks about "source code" and not file format.

It os highly dependent on your pc, and on the situation you are in, a lot of dynamic or physic bones: cpu will limit, 30 to 40 plus lobbies: likely your gpu vram will fill up and limit you, a bunch of beloved 8k textured avatars in a puddle: your gpu will the limit

Hey! I’m looking to upgrade from my quest1 and I’m building a PC with the intention of being able to run good graphics and games like VRChat. The community here has proven to be very experienced with this sort of thing, so was hoping to find some help. I’m an artist wanting to look into video game design art, meaning I would design the environments and characters, but not program them.

Right now, I’m focused more on the headset I should get for the most desirable effects. I’ve just recently looked at the HP Reverb G2 and I’ve only grazed over the different versions. I’m not sure I want that one, to be honest.

Looking at the Varro Aero, it’s super pricey but seems like it would apply to most if not all of what I’m looking for currently.
There’s also the oculus rift s, which I originally liked and looked at first.
Or should I just get the Quest 2?

if you have 5G WIFI (optional but wifi 6 is also good to have) i'd just get a quest 2 tbh, it's very budget & user friendly and air link is great. saves a lot of hassle with cables & stuff. resolution looks good too imo

You can also always buy a AP for your Quest for your room. (Which you ideally do anyway.) so you can have it dedicated for it.

i dont see a point with it in almost all scenarios par a few games.

Yea public worlds are not your best bet probably. Well maybe but it’ll take a while to find people like that and actually befriend people. Most public worlds are just like children or people not talking or people sticking to their groups etc. Black cat also is usually just mirror dwellers who don’t speak and maybe play music through their mic or something lol. Maybe try to find a discord group or something idk… or just be patient and try other social worlds too

quest 2 is capable of 2900mbps wlan from my testing

Why does vrc have so many in-game problems that seem to only happen to me?

Like, I have one problem where vrc just stops letting my mic work until I reselect the mic in the vrc settings, and the game keeps greying out the join button for one of my friends despite them not being in the same world.

I'm not reporting it to their website because last time I did that, they deleted it for not being relevant.

As an aside, you must have a VRChat account to upload content. That means you can't use a Steam account, Oculus account, or Viveport account to upload content like worlds or avatars.

You can only search for worlds. You open the menu using esc. Go to the world tab, then search for a world using name or tag.

If the button is grayed out when on the world tab, restart your game.

This sort of thing is often followed up by the user playing the audio, mocking others, saying they've been doxxed or hacked, further gaslighting them, implying they're stupid, misinformed, wrong, etc if they argue back.

This is a form of gaslighting. Manipulation of ones world views or understanding of a subject in order to mislead, misinform, belittle or take advantage of the user. Hell, he even said he was paranoid because of it, a key point of gaslighting is confusing or misleading the understanding of a subject to such point the person being gaslit is questioning their own sanity or understanding of a topic, experience, etc. Fitting the bill of being gaslit.
