it wasn’t a vrchat space but the game client itself

i loaded it up and took a drink whilst i was at it when the game shoved like 40 internet errors at once and it made this loud sound made from 40 error sounds being played at once constantly and it was so unexpected it jumpscared me causing me to almost drop my drink

that's usually funny kiddos using a method to crash you wherein they put a lot of audio sources on their avatars. Disabling audio sources doesn't affect it but hiding the avatar should

If you're looking for published worlds to play, open your menu inside of VRChat click on "worlds" in the top tab and there will be a search button on the top right.
I'm not sure if there's a like "list" of worlds.

Most hot worlds are quest compatible because questmas happened, and in general people mostly go to quest compatible worlds. So you are not very limited

If you jam all the buttons on both controllers at once it goes into Safety Mode which mutes and default-avatars everyone that isn't a friend
