The best way to report things that are broken is to post it on our Feedback boards, participate in Open Betas, and submit good bug reports. Unfortunately (fortunately? :P) posting bugs on Discord for them to disappear into the ether isn't too helpful.

I'll add on to Aev's previous statement that your first response to someone harassing you should be blocking and muting them. You've got the ability to delete someone from the VRChat universe from your point of view, so I'd strongly encourage that. If you still have problems after that-- yeah, absolutely report them to the Trust and Safety Team. We've got zero tolerance for harassment overall, especially so in regards to personal identity. Block them, report them if need be, and our T&S team will handle it.

Its the same thing on vrchat, except they get it differently. Honestly its really not that big of a deal unless you give someone a reason to go after you. I'm not going to explain how it works, but most of the time if you aren't making yourself a target, most wont put in the effort required to find exact locations (eg. street adress) . likely the worst that could happen is they might make your internet unusable for a period of time.

Crashers will always exist, if not by one way, then by another. You have safety settings to protect yourself against most of those.
devs can't flip the "ban crashers" switch
the problem needs be fixed at the core, going after groups takes time, especially when they just create new accounts
everyone knows it's a problem, the devs don't just read this and laugh at people, it's just not a simple issue because you can crash people in so many different ways
a mesh with too many polygons, a shader that freezes up your gpu, lots of particles, lights, sounds anything
but you can go to your safety settings, disable animations and you'll get rid of 90% of crashers

To make this part easier press Ctrl + F and search for "bundle name: prefab" and click find next. The download size will be listed as "Compressed Size"

It's worth noting here that the "only malicious clients get banned" statement is incorrect. It's obviously true that if you're doing nothing malicious then you're far far less likely to get reported and thus banned by active moderation, but there's been several automated ban waves in the past, detecting for client use.
When this happens the system is unable to know what kind of client or modification is being run, and it doesn't discriminate. All client modifications are against ToS regardless of intent or capabilities.

Most of the crashers, aren't clients. It's hard to effectively stop it. You can block shaders and block particles. The most egregious one is portal droppers. I do wish that was rectified.

I was thinking that it maybe different when it comes to uploading your avatar and being able to use it, due to certain features and whatnot, so I wasn't sure.

when you create an account you have the rank "vistor" which has limited features. After playing for a bit you should rank up to "new user" pretty quickly. which basically gives you all the features apart from uploading worlds. To upload worlds you need atleast "user" rank

Devs don't talk about specifics for encryption because obviously that wouldn't be smart, but I'm pretty sure all it takes is decompiling the vrca file you get. You technically download every avatar you see to the cache but it's all packed and encrypted

Generally having a good connections to 1 server (like the test servers) does not automatically mean your connection to Amazon AWS has to be good aswell.

I don't think I've ever once encountered my internet being slow? I launched VRChat, finally got in, then realized each avatar wasn't loading quick either. Had to close it.

apparently vrchat are removing sdk2 support for avatars and keeping it at sdk3
which means we wont be able to use avatars or go to worlds made with the old sdk

SDK2 is deprecated and will not receive features, this goes for worlds and avatars.
But it remains useable in game for now.

If you dont have any confirmed / trusty sources it's likly best as a question rather then a unsure statement.
Dont worry, SDK2 is for now not going to vanish and become unusable, that would kill massive amounts of content.
It just will not receive any new features and only important bug fixes, anything new you make should be made with the new SDK3 to assure best future compatibility and features.

SDK2 content will be kept functional for at least few years to come, so in the short term there is absolutely no worries.
There will obviously be an announcement long time in advance before that happens and everyone will throw a shitfit, so you won't miss it.

Why's it so hard for VRChat to make pens more easily added into worlds for people where they load in even if you join late like how the presentation room is? Is it really that difficult to give people the tools they need to have this feature easily added??
Also same with drawing on the board, why is that a feature currently exclusive to the presentation room?

because nothing in life is easy. Unity is a game engine after all and you need some basic knowledge to get started
the sdk contains everything you need to make worlds. there is no point in adding 500 more features that rarely anyone uses. If everything was always provided, we would have 500 Box worlds (oh wait, we already do)
