AMD FX 4XXX and an intel I5 3XXX will run VR just fine with a good enough modern GPU, so if you already have a PC some ram and a graphics card may be all you need to hop in before investing in a full PC.

tons of cheap motherboards use that USB 3 chipset too, across all brands, it's something to look out for. Most motherboards don't advertise the actual chipset for USB on them though.

there's no way to default the starter room you set as home to a public one as far as I know.
it's generallly invite only I think. so the best thing to do is just reload that room as a public instance.

If you have a friend added, they can send a request to join you, or you can invite them. You invite via the social menu. You can accept their request on the main menu area with all the buttons to like social, worlds, etc.

Doubt it. Most LH-based HMDs need SteamVR to run at all and fuck if I'm using vrc in desktop mode.

Make sure its not using intel onboard/apu , if it choose the wrong one to start with, also try another avatar to see if its that causing it

Without knowing your computer specs it’s basically impossible to start to help debug your issue... user content games like VRChat demand far higher computer specs than most games.
