If reinstalling worked I don't believe they'll dig very far, might've been custom data that couldn't be handled, it's excluded from integrity checks.

Does anyone have a reasonable answer as to why there’s so many malicious players in this game that are able to easily exploit the safety settings and damage hardware by purchasing clients and scripts? I got ram lagged earlier and the person who did it was in FBT, quite a simple procedure by the looks of it. I’ve never experienced this level of “security breaching” in any other game.

It's a free game built on the unity engine.
That can't damage hardware. Your PC should have safeties to prevent any damage from actually happening. that's why things crash, as a safety

Well right now I'm just doing it for free. I post on a social network, first person to post their character gets a VR sculpt of it. They take me 1-2 hours depending on complexity and how much I like the character.

Well I've seen rumblings of the VR interface for it. When that's fully operational, I'd love to be sculpting these in Blender instead of Medium. Medium has this really bad way of handling resolution that results in weird crops when you try to merge layers.

yeah, if you haven't played with daz3d you may want to look into it for basic humanoid modeling

Ohhh, so 3d studio max has a new 'indie' license for $250 a year, as comapred to $1500 for the 'regular' license. I can swing that if I decided to really get into this hobby. So I'll have to make a choice, blender or 3dsmax.

Well from what I'm seeing, 3DS adding fur is a literal dropdown, 'hair and fur effects.' While in blender you hve to create an emission layer, change some settings, and only after 5-6 setting changes do you get something resembling hair.

The problem is, player made content is extremely difficult to control. The safety settings were a very good step in the right direction, now you just need to wait and see what else they come up with.

So far I've sent in around 4 reports & I haven't even played a lot. It's really annoying with cheaters that ruins it for other players only for their own enjoyment. It also takes time before they get banned, some of them has one of the higher ranks like the orange color

You can choose: Custom content or no crashers. Also, I never experienced any kind of cheating as in block-prevention or muting your friendlist.

You can make it hard and you can make it so that they would have to hack your PC instead of... whatever they do
@solar lotus they mostly overflow you with some kind of animation. You can fix that locally with the Security settings in 95% of the cases.
At this point they did almost everything possible. Once they start actually limiting stuff after a certain scheme that could affect legit avatars with no intent to crash at all and they would still find a way around it.

If people would just start utilizing the security settings correctly you can get almost completely crash-proof

Hi guys! I always play VRChat in my PC, without vr, but in my house I have a Samsung Gear, 1 psmove controller (PS3) and 1 ps eye(PS3), a 720p webcam, 4 wiimotes, a Wii sensor bar and a PS4 controller, is there any way I can play in VRchat with this? Here in Argentina our economy is *$%!, and I'm not able to buy a vr kit...
Also, I can find somewhere a Kinect of the XBox 360 and another psmove controller
