It's a switch for funtions, usually blue

If you feel like they violated the community guidelines and were harassing you with malicious intent, you can submit a moderation report if you really want to.
I personally believe it's fine if it was a one off incident, you could just block them to never see them again and have no issues from them in the future.

There's a guy I met on VR Chat today that reaaallly needs to be banned. Is there any way aside from the standard reporting function? This person is apparently well known for harassing on VR Chat for a few years now. Has his own Youtube channel promoting his own bad behavior, crashing rooms and harassing people, being homophobic and toxic. Not quite a model citizen.

My Custom safety settings are being reset.
I set myself to Safety None, and I frequently accidentally click LShift+Esc

The problem is that no matter how many times I set my custom settings to none, Safety mode always hides everything but friends, and its so stupid easy to activate

Hello. I need a little help.. i can’t launch vrchat without getting a black screen, but I can hear the screen audio.
I think it’s a problem with the graphics card because when I launch it without using my eGPU, it works fine, but when my eGPU is on, i get the black screen.

My eGPU holds an AMD Radeon RX 580 and the other graphics card the game would launch properly on is an Nvidia MX150.

Is there a way to fix it so it would launch on the better graphics card?

Sorry if this is misplaced, but does anyone have a possible solution for slow world downloads?
When going into a new world the download speed seems to cap at about 1-2 MB per second, which rather slow for my 300/10 Mb internet connection and painfully noticable when going inte the Virtual Markets for example. Friends of mine always have to stand around and wait for me to arrive even though they have the same or slower internet speeds generally.
I haven't had this issue in any other game or application on my computer and Google seems to not be my friend regarding this issue.

I will try to clear the cache and contact them if that does not solve anything.

Anytime I always relog VRchat it always switches the joystick button to the opposite joystick and i always have to restart it just for it to go back to normal, and i always crash from VRchat frequently because of SteamVR issues, it would sometimes make my audio disappear from my Rift S or sometimes go into a static blackscreen

Most people seem to overlook it or don't know what it is, and I think having it in-game as a safety setting would be extremely beneficial due to how obvious it is to the users. They'd be able to see it and have an in-game configuration that they can change at will (much like the dynamic bones safety).

I'd still advise against getting a client though because a lot of them have some troublesome features

But typically any modified client, even non malicious is bannable. Seen it happen to people who didn't even know they were doing anything wrong

@vocal shard Index is good and has cool functionality, but I'd personally wait until they release a new version of it bc from what I hear; the current index breaks very easily and so a lot of users have to ship their headset/controllers in for repairs

@desert gust I'd recommend any of the public worlds that are listed in the avatar page (scroll down until you see the worlds tabs). Those worlds feature a lot of the high quality and more optimized avatars that have some of what you're looking for

@flat fox second hand vive is alright so long as you get it through HTC. If it's refurbished that means that they've inspected the product and found nothing wrong with it and labeled it as available for resale. It's a bit sketchy buying it off a second-hand website mostly because they can have problems and such with them and there's no warranty applied

World hopping is definitely a good choice. It gives you good worlds that you can add to your favorites and exposes you to new avatars/avatar creators

Also try just typing avatar(s) in the world search tab and it'll pull up some worlds that aren't featured in the avatar worlds list

You'll be fine.
If you don't want people to crash your game, just use the safety settings. Disable custom animations for everyone and then there's no way for them to crash you.

@vocal shard how long do you own the rift s headset yet? I have it for some month now. I got problems with the cable spinning around itself. Tbh i didn't spend time on cable management but still.. i bought a new cable and it started spinning again idk maybe i'm the problem but it looks for me that the cable from the rift s is poor quality. A friend of mine has the well known microphone problem with his rift s.. he can speak normal for an hour and then speaks robot for 3 hours.. it's kinda annoying. I'm glad that i don't have the problem.. but i still don't really get why some ppl experience that problems and some not. I guess the next headset i buy will be an index or vive

@icy otter I've had it for 6 months now. The cable is a bit siffer compared to my cv1, but hasn't really been an issue for me. I never had the mic issue except for once when I plugged it into a PCIe USB hub. From what I understand, the mic issue is due to the headphones and mic fighting for bandwidth over the USB. I never have that issue when using my motherboard USB ports though.

The original rift is more likely to have the mic issue, but also the headphones for it are prone to break due to the wiring process they used

DDoS is almost over 90% of the reason that the servers go down. Some kid probs gets banned and gets mad and decides to go for the servers or thinks its funny. Probs why people are jumping on saying its a DDoS attack. I think it has to do with the increased amount of users recently due to COVID-19 and people are at home quarantined finding something to do.
