The games knows if you are just idling and it won’t help get you upload access. It’s logic is not revealed so people can’t game it. The consensus is just actively play, be nice, and avoid anything that the game could think you are annoying people.

Oculus Quest is a great PCVR headset, and its ability to play stand alone games without a PC is great, but I don’t recommend getting a Quest for VRChat if you aren’t going to use it with a PC.

Pulley's are not great imo, you still have a cable, you just loose lenghts (gotta route it across the ceiling) you add tension for the pullies into the up instead of down direction and you are likely to overtwist.

Tried to hook up an Xbox One gamepad but it seems like the game does not answer any input when in VR mode despite the controller actually being identified by Steam VR

there are alot of events, and for most people its better to hang out in private instances because they can control who joins them. Because in public there can just be one script kiddie with a modded vrc client and crash everyone

The rift S was perfectly in focus for me with an IPD of 59mm, the quest feels like it has a smaller sweetspot.

The rift s just feels so much more immersive to me than quest+PC

Also I can't stand OLED smear anymore, or the Pentile pixels which stand out like crazy to me compared to the LCD RGB, which are also sharper

The quest set to 64mm, it was blurry and I couldn't see much unless I moved the lenses to 59mm

But yeah, I hate pentile displays at their current resolution. Using the quest and looking at a solid colour wall, the individual subpixel colours always keep grabbing my attention, where as rift S and other LCD panels, each pixel looks like a solid colour

It's all based on what you compare and are used to for sure. I used to think the DK2 was sharp, and others who went from the HP reverb to index felt the index SDE was noticable

I think the new headsets (Quest, Rift S) have a resolution fine enough that I don’t notice pixels anymore. I have a high tolerance for it, but cv1 wasn’t there yet , but the newer ones are fine to me
