You presumably need to play the game in a normal manner with your VRChat account, walking around, meeting people and also making some friends. Idling won't help.
According to many responses in this discord, a rough estimate would be ** 20-40 hours**, but big exceptions are possible.

Make sure you are not using a steam or oculus account and continue playing the game until you get a notification or e-mail.

Possibly. They're focusing mainly on updating the game to unity 2018 and are currently waiting for help from unity to complete some things. If they're going to fix it, it will likely be on the new game build since it may not be worth it to fix on the old version.

In the meantime, they just added a way to reset your avatar on the website if you've been force changed into another avatar

I’m assuming since the script is whitelisted it does not get updated and it just tries to run the old version of the script in new unity until you re-upload and then the uploader will replace it with the correct version. The actual version of dynamic bone that you own on yourself doesn’t really matter because the SDK doesn’t even use it
