someone recently brought something up to me that i find intersting, is it worth uploading models from scratch in vrchat and i say not really, because none cares.. and they say why and i reply you know the offical models that vrcaht dev team uploaded publicly the starter avatars you can play with when starting the game... those are from scarth and none cares about them

The default models in the game are from scratch, but they're also not what most people are looking for.

no. The only way to float with playspacemover, is with full body tracking. In normal VR your feet are permanently stuck to the ground no matter what. Theres no other way than doing that. But playspacemover has a fake full body mode that spawns 3 fake trackers that are placed at your feet and hip

@vestal pier to update the sdk, you always want to delete the sdk folder with unity closed. When you update an asset with unity packages, instead of deleting the sdk folder with unity closed, you get a bunch of left over files that aren't used anymore

Actually I think you can just switch off the primary ones and fire up your secondary without restarting SteamVR.

Have the SteamVR Status window (The one that shows you what's connected) to be visible to make sure the controllers are actually gone when turned off BEFORE you turn on the second set.

@ivory axle I spoke to two people using that client the other day, they basically said it just gives you a list of all uploaded avatars, even private ones (although those are marked as such) and they can just switch to them. Apparently it's not even super secret, they said it's just on GitHub.

Pretty much. The point behind the trust system is so that people who are more "trusted" have more of their avatar features visible to others.

You also cannot upload custom content until the "New User" rank. That part is actually the only thing that really matters.

Other than that it's mostly just for the safety system which is customizable anyways so people either have everything turned off or everything turned on

Usually I turn off everything except animations so I can at least see if they're doing something but right now, I either have safety off entirely or if I dont want to be bothered, I turn off everything except Avatar and Voice

Some avatars do bother me a lot more with that though because then certain things that aren't supposed to be visible become visible 24/7

I mean the Safety System is fine, just the ranks are meh. To be honest "Known User" and "Trusted" could easily be removed and not much would be missing

Some will look just fine, others will have huge white boxes on or inside of them making it worse than before (or other things that are invisibly behind them)
