Eye tracking adds a lot of immersion to the game. First of all, it can be used to set a focus in the game and to render stuff selectively. It can also be used to add realistic depth of field. On the other hand it adds a lot of personality to avatars when you can see their eyes move

The old world "Surreal Hazard" is a rather unique one. Huge abstract landscape created in Tilt Brush. Lots of assorted novelties to explore.
Includes jet packs for some really scenic flights, if you're ok with that kind of motion.

Index works alright for laying down for me. Just got to fold the headphones up.

Also though, always check the angle of your cable where it leaves the headset. Don't ever let it pinch or fold sharply, or else you're asking for trouble.

I have been experimenting with laying down without full body and making it look normal

so far custom prone animations are the only things that work

but I have seen people that cant move their legs with their hands so thats a pretty interesting way of custom posing

I've not tested the full body stuff yet, but two of my friends are reporting that theirs work just fine anyway, even with the old jury rigged fixes still applied.

isn't it nice to have something that's actually working now that doesn't require weird workarounds? It's a bit of an upset to the current avatar ecosystem now but once everyone adjusts it'll be nicer having a more stable platform on which to build avatars, and current and future users will see nothing but benefits in the long run

if an avatar is set to private it cannot be worn by another player

if its set to public, then the clone avatar button is known to be buggy, and they could have cloned it

going forward, I suggest making avatars to the specs they lay out there, (tupp tupp smol hip) and other things like that

because it's the most correct to human anatomy and will behave nicely with the massive maths that goes into inverse kinematics
