I think the whole disable cloning thing is a stop gap feature that should eventually go away; public should just mean public, period, and there could be more fine tuned options like giving specific people permission to use an avatar and it’s private for anyone else

You might be able to do more complex camera things, but you'd have to build your own studio world around it as of now
You could prob just use some form of post-stabilization like you would a normal camera + emulate some rigs (but it'd inherit all of the stabilization warping that can happen w that)

The only thing I could think of is using a second computer to be a "camera" as a player and get the angles needed. Is that what you do? Otherwise I feel like I would have to take of my headset, look at the game window on my monitor and rinse and repeat until i get the right angle. In theory anyway

@hollow breach in some ways, but the idea is it's more like a jack of all trades. Can be a normal inside out tracking headset, a mobile headset if paired with a phone. A lighthouse tracking headset if you buy that add-on. A wireless headset with that add-on.
It's expensive for sure though. The base form is basically a Rift S for almost double the price, but the add-ons are interesting

Yeah, even things are are seemingly harmless, could result in a ban. Those features may still be added in a future update, and there were ways to do it legitimately as well. But yeah, best to avoid any modified clients

The issue I have is... VRC uses a huge amount of memory. To which Unity's garbage collector is failing to free up due to something still has reference. Windows 10 on a HDD is absolutely crippling to the point it will literally cause a system meltdown. Win 10 HEAVILY relies on high bandwidth storage to even operate.

-If they played on a steam account prior, it will merge the accounts and all the stats from the steam account will be added to the new merged account.
(Even if there's not really any playtime on the steam account, the first time the launched vrchat from the steam account will be counted and could make your account "older" if that applies)
-you can log into your account by just pressing use steam account rather than typing in the credentials
-if they're on a steam account, merging will allow them to upload

Do keep in mind that there's an Open Beta (which will eventually become the release) with some changes to FBT that makes some information invalid, mainly that you shouldn't be using the 'neck fix' as it's no longer a fix, and the CATS fullbody fix may also not actually fix things.

About mirrors, those should be a lot better in worlds that have updated. Seems they've been optimized a bit, and the creator can also set the res to lower until you enable a toggle. I did that for Lil's Home Bunker.
Instead of off by default I did what the new hub world does and show a 256px res mirror until you hit the toggle.

Can't tell if it was like 50% of resolution but it was like really good in both, quality and performance. And it wasn't like the HUB all pixelated and 2D. It was 3D and looked nice, just slightly blurrier than the HQ one.

Anyone know of a good world to test performance? A world that, without having to fill it with avatars, it's performance intensive like it uses several lights, real time shadows, reflections, etc.... just doing some tests and a performance heavy world would help since VRC locked fps it's always at 90 so I can't never know wether it's running faster or slower after tweaking some stuff.

you can always open up task manager and look at the cpu/gpu usage to see if it got lower after chaning some settings

so I need a performance intensive world that would get down those 90fps into something else then I can do some tests on my GPU and see wether I get performance gains or not. Its hard to know if tweakings are working if its always at 90fps. But if its goes down to something like 60 then I can see wether I get 60, or 70, etc... would have some values to compare
that wouldn't work. CPU and GPU usage doesn't always reflects the real performance. It would make a lower GPU usage get I would get less fps so this wouldnt work

if the game requires less hardware power the usage will go down. for example if you play on the highest settings (in a very power consuming game) your usage would be very high. if you lower the settings to the lowest the usage would go down because the game doesnt need that much power

yeah but no. In the real world it doesn't works like that. Since GPUs have different processors dedicated to different tasks, you could get the same GPU usage yet still get worse performance. That's why often you may see your card sitting at like 70 or 80% get it doesn't goes beyong 40fps and you would assume that using that 20% left would help to reach 60 but it doesnt. Then you turn up whatever setting and while you keep the same 40fps the GPU usage bumps to 95%. Different effects, different stuff, etc.. could make the whole game run slower than it should yet the GPU still have free room for a whole different set of effects and features.
Eitherway I am simply asking for a world that may be seen as resource hungry. We all have been around and we all know some worlds performs better than other. If somoene knows of a world that runs pretty slow in comparison with others then I would like to know, ty.

Void isn't too bad. I've seen/reported some worlds that were fully lit by real-time lights and had 36k+ draw calls 💀
