you're going to want blender (id reccommend 2.79 personally) and unity (there is a specific version of it, LTS 2017 4.28f1) as well as the VRC SDK (you can find the download link to both the SDK and Unity version on the website after logging in with your account)
also be sure to grab CAT's Blender Tools, it's a must have for 99% of avatar creators

depends. full body itself is well worth it, the main issue rn is that VRC handles it a bit poorly due to inaccuracy at tracking your movements. this is an ongoing fix so be patient, it will take a while, but hopefully it will be worth it "soon." then again, you may not even notice it depending on how good your internet is, how perceptive you are, and how you actually move
as for the valve index...im not sure what you're asking.

i used the teleport fuction
in the map which gives you the old vrchat loading screen callback. however when i went into another world my loading screen went pink
like there was no background texture. then i was logged out, i log back in seeing the "please choose either steam or vrchat sdk account" screen with the old vrchat background. i log in, game glitches and sends me to an error world before kicking me out again by saying i lost connection before i was able to return to my home world

I do know it’s possible to get a incorrect password “saved” so it will keep asking you to log in due to bad log in every time

It just loops back to login after a few seconds. Might be a security thing? Could be a 3rd party cookie instantly expiring.
I basically chalked it up to "lol vrchat" and stopped using the site at all.

The game's been a barely useable wreck for me since the last update and I don't really know why. Lots of error avatars, lots of worlds failing to load, the game stuttering in and out of SteamVR (when it shows the game logo due to the game locking up), etc, etc. No idea why but it's painful 😦
