I do not recommend the wireless at all. I had it and wound up returning it. The screen would become very pixelated sometimes, the fix was that I had to set the cpu priority on steamVR up to high, but doing this the made my fps in vrchat worse.

@fringe sentinel Sorry hadn't had internet all day, but yea I agree but I've also had friends who were booted for stating their opinions on something like this. If you do insist though, I will explain from my point of view. (NOTE: From MY point of view. What I say may not be entirely accurate/true, but at this point it's very heavily implied/apparent.) Many features that were previously available to be put on avatars have been silently removed/heavily nerfed or broken. On the side of them being broken, the issues were likely never fixed. Fixed joints, double hand gestures (albeit through a sneaky exploit, but it could be done, and never broke the IK system like someone heavily implied it would if "properly" implemented,) material swaps on animation overrides in mirrors not working (btw it's been over half a year, and DESPITE me giving video proof they don't work on a Canny post, it hasn't been adressed,) and flight colliders. Now I get flight colliders were never an intended feature, but let's be real here, did it really hurt anyone?

Another thing I also do want to point out is how VRChat seems to have "secret devs." Now don't take that as me saying there's like undercover agents or ninjas or something. I just mean there is a specific selection of community members they tend to listen to way more than other people, and these people just happen to have made insanely "popular" content for this game. The content and players will remain unnamed because I don't want to be flamed by them or accidentally get people to start a witch hunt against them, but I do hope you guys know who you are. They treat these players as of they represent what the entirety of the community wants, either that or be the end-all to what part of the game must absolutely be fixed. My point in saying that part there is much of the canny posts made by a large portion of the community have been ignored. I get that a ton of posts on there are complete aids (like the one asking for gender symbols next to nameplates. That guy must've fell for a trap or two in VRChat) but there's a ton of actual issues being addressed that are being ignored, and no I'm not referring to stutter stepping, that's not an issue per se, it's an oversight that enables better movement in the air, albiet very unrealistic is all. I could provide examples but I don't currently have resources at the time of writing this to jog my memory (also known as internet.) I will give the devs this much, I don't know exactly what goes on behind the scenes, nor do I know exactly how this game is run in the first place, (does anyone? ) but I do know it takes listening to more than a small, tightly knit select group of people to project what should or shouldn't be done for your game.

I had a friends laptop's GPU quit on him when he fired up vrchat for 40 minutes

Screen just went black and that was it

I definitely ran Blender for more than 10 minutes, I'm not too good at modeling so the gloves took a while to get their shape. From there though it was smooth sailing bc I already know how to rig pretty well

My laptop has run almost everything so far, the only exception being Project DIVA Arcade, but that's only because the arcade emulator is extremely hacky and I guess needs very specific system requirements.

The game RUNS, just it doesn't display anything.

@snow wadi Friends was a nightmare for me last night. Someone would add me, I'd accept, they'd go yellow. But then a bit later they weren't showing in my friends list, then their name stopped being yellow but apparently they were still friends, but then there were still friend invites outstanding on the website.

Basically every way it could have gone wrong, it did.

One time I had someone show up as being online in a world but when I would join that instance, that person wasn't there. Also the same person showed up as offline and as online at the same time.

Also, both of my IRL friends are still bugged. They can see me being online and join me but as soon as they go online they won't even show up in the list for me at all.

The Index's lenses are more sensitive to where they are relative to your eyes.

Index needs to be positioned perfectly but then you get a really great image. The sweet spot is small, but apparently covered full FOV sharply once you are in it

@brisk bone One plus has been a fairly unstable company the earlier years. It was because they cut there end line of there top dawgs they survived a fair bit. Got a core base, managed to undercut the people doing the same without providing some waste extra's that just take money to build and are now into the same ball game as Samsung and apple really
