@fiery swift I believe the setting you want in vrchat is something like enable mic by default, otherwise it goes to PTT mode. Why that would change when switching from a steam account I don't know.
@lament root The Vive can recieve audio via either USB or HDMI, I often found I had problems with audio over USB so if you're using that try using HDMI?
Also usual stuff, check connections, restart steamvr, restart pc, is it vrchat only or is all audio mirrored, etc etc.

@Junos I had that problem in the past. It's amazing just how much it messes with your head having your ears flipped in a virtual space.
Unfortunately I can't remember for sure what I did to fix it, but one thing I tried after googling it, was simply unplugging and re-inserting both the USB and HDMI cables.
Whatever it was I managed to find a fix fairly quickly. Hope you can too.

I asked this a while back but I've still not found a solution, does anyone have an idea how I can force VRChat to use a Vive wand layout when using the Rift HMD? I'm using Vive wands to avoid interference with my trackers, but I want to use the HMD.
The issue is that it sets the control layout for the Touch controllers, regardless of the SteamVR bindings. :p

The Oculus is totally the best value HMD right now I'd say, the controllers and tracking are far better than the WMR, but of course it costs a lot more.

I'm developing a piece of software at the moment to kind of mimic the Oculus Desktop experience for the Vive, as OVRDrop doesn't really cut it IMO, nor does the SteamVR Desktop viewer, which breaks more than it works at higher resolutions.

@vocal shard Well, there are active club groups, that tend to meet up on certain days and bounce round all the clubs in friends+ instances.
As far as worlds go though, it's mainly either Void club, or sometimes Tiz. But population varies with the time of day.
I somehow ended up getting into two of the club crawl groups on separate occasions, but I'm not actually in any of their discords or however they organise, so dunno how to contact them.

I'll look into it. We're a bit away from needing a name right now, but it is coming along pretty quickly.
At the moment, for a menu the easiest way to do it is to have a tab within the SteamVR dashboard; Once you've clicked it whenever you open the dashboard it'll be on there anyway.
To be honest, even double pressing grip can be accidentally triggered quite easily. There just really isn't enough buttons.
Maybe I'll make the 'toolbar' menu optional, so you can disable it.

They don't care about optimization unless you actually drop FPS upon switching to it
They just test out all the avatars and all their gestures and emotes for stuff that is loud or TOS breaking (a good example is "sexually inappropriate comment from statue")
