You're mistaken here, Microsoft wants you to think they "protect" you and "upgrade" your computer, but they're mostly updates to add telemetry, reverse user changes, etc.
The last few Win7 updates are just telemetry and a file which used to download and install Windows 10 without consent

You need to configure input/output devices correctly. If the voice changer broke your sound, you might need to remove or disable or close that, and finally, you might have the wrong microphone selected in VRChat (bottom right in settings window)

They're the shape keys. You can put them in 100 to permanently enable the goggles. You can also make it possible to toggle them, but for that you will need an animation.
I recommend watching a few tutorials, as these things are fairly easy and simple, but difficult to explain

In CATS, seperate by material, rightclick hair or other things with many polies, apply the decimate modifier on the menu to the left, and put it on about 50%.
That, or use CATS autodecimate funcion. It's a hit or miss though

It's quite a bit, yeah. You would need to decimate a lot of things, and maybe delete something (like glasses, shoes, excess hair, etc. It helps a lot).
Also, the polygon count will go down if you press "fix avatar" with CATS plugin because it removes some excess... thingies, that isn't used in VRChat

BTW all, its a mocap suit so the uses are vast. It records FBX animations, BVH, and functions as a full body VR suit with Bluetooth power, so it doesnt interfere with the sensors. machine wahsable, can interchange sensors and remove the network,
AND its cheaper than any mocap suit out there. don't poo poo it for the sake of money.

I'm not an animator, and most people here aren't, so for me its only use case is a full body VR suit with very little game support. I think its fair to pass on the suit because of the price in that case. Not saying it isn't a cool product or anything, but thats just how I feel.

According to many responses in this discord the typical time it takes seems to be between 20-40 hours but big exceptions are possible.
Make sure you are not logged in to your steam account by accident and play the game until you get a notification or e-mail.
