The reason why I like VRChat is because it has a lot of people. Yet not all are in VR but they eventually adopt VR and love it.
I'm surprised that huge companies haven't gone to VRChat to give them a bit more publicity. I mean HTC has, that's where the 4 million came from. I wouldn't say the Knuckles memes were great publicity. It did give VRC a so-so reputation. It attracts certain types of people based on what they are aware of in VRChat.

I decided to change the date on my computer, and Oculus is working fine. Prior to that, I disconnected my Ethernet, shut off Wi-Fi, and turned Airplane Mode on at the login as a safety net.
So I can play VRChat with an Oculus right now, but I wouldn't entirely recommend everyone to do that.
