Hello everyone, I'm sorry if this has been asked a lot but I have a question buy the Oculus Rift. So my computer tower only has one HDMI port and due to limited space I'm using the port to display on my TV. I thought I can get around the initial setup for the Oculus Rift by simply unplugging my TV display and plugging in my Oculus Rift. However when I try to do that my computer crashes and reboots. Is this a common thing to happen when trying to do something like this? If I get a DVI to HDMI converter would that fix the issue?

Yeah pretty much what happens is I unplug my display so that way I can plug in the Oculus Rift and then I can hear my computer do like a soft reboot. It doesn't completely turn off and then turn back on the fans just turned down a little bit and then speed back up. I'm not very computer smart so I'm trying to explain this best I can haha.

I don't believe so. I have the VR option in the top right corner of my screen. But I believe I need both the TV and the Oculus Rift headset plugged in at the same time in order for it to work

the computer's primary display must be connected to the same graphics adapter as the Rift
if there's an adapter mis-match you'll have problems
also, if you use the Rift with no monitor, some games might have issues (won't load/black screen, etc)

I'd recommend that you rollback to the 388.59 driver for your card, there's some issues with the more recent NVidia drivers and the Rift. The adapter will resolve any need to disconnect the TV which should bypass that issue entirely, but the driver rollback will make certain that the Rift should function correctly.
that's the best advice I can give based off what I think's going on, so best of luck!

Apparently a lot of Wii U models end up being over 20k polys, but Chrom from Tokyo Mirage Sessions ended up being 17k before any decimation. It also could be considered an anime avatar, so it's surprising to see it with a poly below the maximum.
