Hey guys, it's me again with newbie questions in Unity! I have a gun set for animation override and works perfectly, however how would I go about placing a gunshot sound on a different gesture? I've tried copying the gun onto the left hand without any animations, just the sound, and dragged it onto "handgun" on the left hand, but it does not trigger the sound >.<

@formal orchid Create a seperate animation that not only 'shows' the gun, but 'enables' the sound source. Then simple ensure the sound source is set to play upon enabled. Then switch between your 'Non-Fired Gun' and 'Fired Gun' overrides to fire it. Your fired Gun animation could also have some particle effects for the 'blast'.

You could do a seperate gesture with just the sound, and try to do it with your other hand, but I find duplication is easier. Then on the same hand you can juts switch between the two animations

You should not need to duplicate the asset. Just two animations, both of which activate the gun, and only one in which activates the audio source

You can put multiple audio sources on your gun, just deactivate them all by default
Then inside your various animations, active the gun, and the specific audio source you want for the animation
So Animation 1: Activate Gun, Activate Cocking sound. Animation 2: Active Gun, Activate Shooting Sound, Activate Fire Particle Effect

Then just copy the properties in the animation so they're duplicated on keyframe 0 and 1 so the gesture override doesn't get 'stuck' in game

Yup that looks good. So in the timeline on the right, you'll see small diamonds, each one representing a new value on each property
On the top of the timeline, you should see numbers or notches, each representing a keyframe of the animation
All your diamonds will probably be on 0
