The PSVR2 has a lot of different features compared to the Quest 2 and 3, features that could potentially work with VRChat. However much of that is speculation. Some say if Sony doesn't do it, the community will make a mod for it.

It's a pretty big difference man, the lenses and screens effect visual fedelity a lot. The PSVR2 also has track rings which can improve tracking above Meta's approximation tracking. And though it isn't currently enabled, the PSVR2 also has HDR capable screens. They're also OLED, which is huge.

I suppose for casual players that just want something that works for VR Chat, then maybe it doesn't matter so much. For other's it's a big investment, making the best possible choice for their needs, metters.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a horror experience world but forgot the name of it! Wonder if this rings a bell to anyone:
I remember it being PT inspired, though wasn't visually similar to PT beyond being set it an L shaped hallway. Pretty sure there were stairs at the start of the hallway but not quite sure.
The only moment I distinctly remember was an extra doorway/hallway appearing with a framed picture at the end (I think it was a portrait?). You'd go down the hall, there would be some kind of scare or noise, then when you turned back the picture in the frame had changed.
The world also didn't split you up like many horror worlds nowadays do, so you could go through it as a group.
I think I played it about a year ago, maybe longer, but I don't think it was newly published at the time.
Any input greatly appreciated!

even that is questionable. It's not even a hourglass shape anymore. The thighs are thicker than their torso most of the time too. Nothing about those proportions seems sexy. Not even in media that deals with those topics more professionally do you see those.

It's actually becoming more or less a social pressure deal. If you don't use what everyone else like them uses you are weird and have a hard time getting accepted into their circles/groups. Everyone uses similar models with similar proportions because of this to not stand out. The trend goes towards those shapes? Better "shape up" or get isolated.

Individuality and creativity is a no go in circles full of insecure people. And the worst part is that the younger playerbase who desperately tries to connect falls for this even harder because they really want to be a part of it all

You find those people in newly released worlds or worlds of popular artistic world creators. Also Vrchess is a great place to meet nice and good people. Of course no one of those can really be found in for example the black cat or similar due to the climate there just being so insufferable.
The issue is that most newcomers get stuck in that toxic swamp though and become similarly toxic as that is the only way to be or get included in those communities.

Just uploading an avatar is suuuuuper easy. It's if you want to make changes to it that it can get more complicated. But you learn over time if you're motivated by what you want to change.
Also, Booth varies quite a bit in price, with some freebies. Most popular ones are $30-50 and you get hundreds of hours of use out of that $50

Normally pushing updates to a world while people are in them doesnā€™t change anything, they just get broken if a new player tries to join their instance and run the new code in their ā€œold worldā€

Download speed has nothing to do with latency or performance of virtual desktop unless you're playing remote using a VPS.

What matters:

ā€¢ computer being wired directly to your router
ā€¢ headset distance from router
ā€¢ router quality, such as it supporting MU-MIMO and similar tech
ā€¢ channel interface

There are certainly settings for virtual desktop that can affect the performance of your stream however.

VRChat at this time has no limit on the amount of avatars you can upload. Use that to your advantage and don't pack an entire wardrobe into the same avatar.
Try to limit each avatar to 1-2 outfits max and you'll go a long way.

if you're wanting to just run the PC version and dont care about being able to not use VR you'd could got for the cheapest option IMO and get a Raspberry Pi they're super cheap and from testing myself are able to run the game at 13-14 frames with a few other users in a lobby (and model shown if their content is actually optimized)

but most PC models (and sometimes worlds) dont have a whole lotta care put into their optimization process so you'd need to buy a pretty pricey and beefy laptop/tower to get a nice running experience that also lets you run VR

So I have Steam VR setup, 4 Lighthouses, Index, 7 Trackers (3 Steam, 4 Tundra), Tundra attachments for all those, with another Steam tracker on the way and the Tundra store Chest strap. And I had 2 SW4 Tundra Super Dongles

I recently (while ordering the chest tracker) just broke one of my SW4's, and I happened to have 3 Steam Dongles so I can tecnically keep using my setup but it would be 4 trackers on the SW4

  1. I believe I've seen the SW4's are not very good at actually holding 4 trackers (As I had tracking issues pretty consistantly and tried to only do 3 on each), is this accurate?

  1. There isn't anything better than the SW4/Multple Steam Trackers in one USB coming out or already out? I was looking at the Tundra USB hub they are selling and debating if its worth getting and more individual steam trackers rather than a combo chip

  1. Can the Index headset not connect more than just the 2 controllers to it? I swore it could connect more than just 2 but the steam software seems to be locking me to just controllers only

Feels like it'd take a while to answer this one though, as it's kinda niche to people who are using mixed tracking solutions and have more then 3 point tracking.

Also the tech/recommendations behind lighthouse and steam tracking is kinda broad, also 11 point tracking ain't common either so perhaps there are more issues I need to be concerned about

It could be amazement at 11 point tracking, could be that you disagree that it is not mixed tracking due to mixing Tundra's and the Vive pucks, could be my comment of niche being an understatment

I donā€™t have my trackers yet, but Iā€™ve helped a few people in the past to get theirs running, so I can give some answers to the questions I guess.

  1. afaik, the tundra dongles often have issues pairing the advertised amount, but if you contact their support, Iā€˜ve heard that they send you an extra steamvr dongle.
  2. unfortunately no, its either tundra or htc
  3. The index headset only has 2 dongles built in for the controllers
