Then beyond that, vrc can have a VRC AP which is just vrchat adult pass. Which they would have to pay for just like vrc plus. But this is so they can go to adult themed worlds and see adult themed avatars. Kind of like how IMVU is set up. And each time you do anything it clarifies you are held accountable if you lie about your age and get caught etc and go through ALL THESE processes to gain access to adult events. My main concern is, I don't want to be at a club event with friends worrying if someone got in that lied about their age or something. And there could be things in place to both protect both sides of the age spectrum. And people throwing false accusations left and right, should be held to the fullest consequences.

and the VRC AP would leave a permanent badge on your profile stating you are over 18. So you can't lie about it.

Once you are verified. That's it.

I just feel that there can be something done that can protect the younger ppl so that they can't even see adult themed places or models. adults who aren't interested wont and those who only like attending events can without wondering if the person next to them is fibbing. I think when you are at an event, a lil badge saying they have officially been verified and have gone through a process would be nice. People drinking don't read bios. They listening to music and are completely into the game. But much like seeing someone's name above their head, there is no excuse for also not seeing a age badge.

Lemme put it in this light.
Someone has just paid all of their bills and just got their gas covered and couldnt afford vrc+ for the month due to current day inflation. they are able to get food from food stamps; all that; but they want to relax on and get drunk in vr bc they cant afford drinks irl. they cant go to bars they cant do much; they're stuck and want to escape reality.

So they try to go to a world they're comfortable in. Its an 18+ instance, but they enjoy the atmosphere and they usually hang with a group instance anyway. they're hit with an error message that they cant enter bc they dont have an active vrc+ subscription.
They're distraught, they had a rough day paying the bills and want to chill with the people they know.
It would discourage anyone to get back onto the game. I know i would be discouraged as well.

Hence why i dont like the idea of monthly paywalling for age verification. One time should be enough.

Yes, this SHOULD be but it isn't in a lot of cases and it is unfortunate. With vrc being a 13plus platform, parent's do not have to consent to their children being on it if the kid learns about it. they can't please everyone and there will always be a couple bad apples to ruin it for the rest of us. I do see your point of not wanting to have ppl pay for VRC AP but having more steps in place can protect the good people from those who have malicious intent. I completely understand less players means less money. But no one is really buying vrc plus anymore and those that have it are the ppl who are mainly community owners who need/want groups. The numbers have dropped. And having allegations can prevent future investors. Which,,, is a factor. I think a one time fee for the sake of being able to better protect people is something more people would be on board with. And with time others would come on board. Remember when VRC plus became a thing? The community was outraged and some people were comepletely on board. No matter which direction they choose this will always be a factor. VR headsets run you like 1,200 give or take depending on the headset you get. Full body almost doubles that. I have the OG oculus, vive pro and index with full body trackers. And a lot of other people have their choice of get up. If people love the game so much and love the events. They would want to support vrchat devs and do what it takes to help protect their average player base. I know in the future there will be a in game $ system, shops etc. Which is kind of a thing already with vr con etc. Everything is progressing forward and with that comes adapting to making sure the players are protect. Unfortunally, in good faith seems to be not good enough and innocent players are being accused of things now.

I made that a point for VRC AP to be a one time payment, i never said anything about not enjoying the idea of having to pay at all.
Voicemod has this model as an option; 30 dollars for a lifetime thing. Im still using Voicemod bc of that deal znd ive been having fun with it.

I can't seem to find a definite answer anywhere. What am I supposed to be seeing when I calibrate FBT in VRchat? Some people are telling me they see their trackers, but I just see white balls and I cannot reliably calibrate with them.

But some are saying they see their tracker models instead of the balls. The balls aren't telling me anything about their orientation or how I should position them, so 95% of the time something is way off.

Sometimes when im loading into a world I see my controllers and trackers but normally i don't see my controllers and just see the white balls of where my trackers are when I calibrate

It can be hard to get it perfect if the model isn't meant for your height exactly, you can go into your settings and move yourself up and down within position to try and get it close. Just have a mirror in front of you and go into your settings after you press calibrate and either push the arrows up or down as to the regards of your hight and try to match it the best you can.

debatable tbh. I usually place my feet trackers just above my shoes on my model, so they are on the outside of my model

based off of the base of my model, I also see my hip tracker on the hip bone area of my model sticking out

It really just depends on your model and what you feel works best for you as to how you place your trackers. trial and error until you like something.

Force respawn would be alright but why not take the time to set up an inescapable box as a prison instead? In a situation where vote to kick isn’t working, I’m sure the master would love the ability to completely isolate an abuser.

I also don’t think it’s against terms of service to force people to stay in one part of your world because they’re still in your world and they have full access to their menus
