ive run a test with a friend, on a populated world there was a few 2-6 FPS difference (5800X3D was a bit better)
But the more crowded the Smaller the difference up to almost no difference, while on empty worlds, the x3D was able to hit 120 FPS while the 5900 was sitting on about 106, so it depends on the situation.
The frames where a little more stable on the 5800x3D

Overall i decided, that 5-10% FPS boost is may not worth the loss of 50% Processingpower in Rendering and other Applications.Soooo the 5900X is not the best VR CPU but the best allrounder on AM4 i guess

Personally, I don't mind the loss in performance. The 3060 isn't a bad card at all performance wise. Sure it's not the best but still good when paired with a good CPU n stuff.

The extra vram to me is more valuable with VRChat. This game is very vram heavy since it's a community made game with lots of different textures and shaders n whatnot that can balloon vram usage. It's also useful for making VRChat content as many design tools use lots of vram

and I've got the HP Reverb G2 ready to order.

The Quest 2 doesn't load avatars unless you turn them on anymore, (You need to manually do it person-by-person.) and I've done some research, and the Reverb looks like a decent option!
